Gobustan State Historical and Cultural Reserve is located west of the settlement of Gobustan, about 40 miles (64 km) southwest of the center of Baku. it is very rich in archeological monuments. Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape within the reserve, which covers an area of 537 ha, has more than 6,000 rock carvings, which depict people, animals, battle pieces, ritual dances, bullfights, boats with armed oarsmen, warriors with lances in their hands, camel caravans, pictures of sun and stars, on the average dating back to 5,000-20,000 years. The Flame Temple was a pilgrimage and philosophical center of Zoroastrians from Northwestern Indian, who were involved in trade with the Caspian area. The four holy elements of their belief were: Fire, Air, Water, and Earth. The complex was turned into a museum in 1975. The annual number of visitors to the museum is 15,000.
Then Fire Mountain will be next destiny. It is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan (a country which itself is known as "the Land of Fire"). Flames jet into the air 3 metres (9.8 ft) from a thin, porous sandstone layer.
Last Destination will be Heyder Aliyev Center . This unique building was designed by Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles.
